Who we are

ColorSchemeCalculator.com is a free set of color tools built for designers, developers, and anyone who needs to pick colors quickly without the guesswork. We built the site because we kept bouncing between five different browser tabs — a color wheel here, a contrast checker there, a hex converter somewhere else — and got tired of it. So we put everything in one place.

Today the site includes a color scheme generator, a color palette generator, an interactive color wheel, a HEX/RGB/HSL converter, an image color picker, a WCAG contrast checker, a CSS gradient generator, and a random color generator — all free, with no sign-up required.

What we’re trying to do

Our goal is simple: give people fast, accurate color tools without clutter, paywalls, or accounts. If you need a complementary color scheme for a logo, want to check whether your text passes WCAG contrast standards, or just need the hex code of a color in a photo, you should be able to get the answer in seconds.

Alongside the tools, we run a small blog — the Color Academy — where we explain color theory in plain language: what makes colors complementary, how monochromatic and triadic schemes work, and how to actually use that knowledge in real design work.
